COMMON ORDER

Client:  ERIK HOFF

Services:  Branding, logo

year:  2020

Common Order is an online maker and market business, eloquently curated to bring customers unique art, vintage garments and custom furnishings. Erik Hoff launched his company in 2012 with a self-styled brand identity and has steadily grown Common Order into a thriving business with a dedicated following. With his aspiration to add a streetwear component to his product line and his overall desire for a refresh, Erik tapped me to develop a new logo identity to take his brand to the next level.

The new logo is inspired by "barn quilts", a decorative element readily seen on barns throughout the rural midwest. "Barn quilts" are composed of geometrically-arranged, colorfully painted wood panels. Much like a logo, each quilt features a unique design, representative of a particular farm or family.
