In 2012, Giselle Wafsie started her own private practice, REMIX Acupuncture + Integrative Health in Chicago's downtown Loop, and in 2013, she launched REMIX by Giselle Wasfie, a line of 100 percent natural, essential-oil and Chinese herbal-based beauty and aromatherapy products that are carried by international retailers such as Urban Outfitters.
My first major project for Giselle and Remix was a logo redesign in 2013 that incorporated subtle references to ancient symbology, a concept that I soon revisited when asked to develop packaging for Remix's collection of aromatherapy sprays. In total, I have created labels for 23 unique products from the Remix line including candles, toners, body oils, bath salts, balms, and more. My work for Remix has produced an ongoing freelance relationship that continues to this day. The collaborative energy between myself and Giselle, the Remix founder, has been particularly rewarding as we are able to explore many of our shared passions and interests--80's Deco, Memphis Design, Art Deco, the dessert, pastel neons--all points of inspiration that inform the look and brand style of Remix.

Photography
My background in marketing has often required that I contract professional photographers for promotional shoots and special events. After a significant investment into camera equipment, I was able to develop my technical skill and begin covering a great deal of photography needs in-house. What began as a pursuit of necessity has grown into a genuine love of photography. I've found that my eye and instinct towards composition and color seamlessly transfer from visual design to photography. From natural-light portraiture to event and product photography--I'm so grateful to have this tool in my creative arsenal.
